911 Communications Center

The Shelby Township Police Department staffs and operates its own 911 Emergency Communications Center 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our Communications Technicians are highly skilled professionals who serve as the first first-responders you speak with when calling the police or fire departments for service. Communications technicians rotate through positions in the center that are responsible for dispatching both police and fire departments to emergency and non-emergency calls for service. They also maintain constant communication with personnel in the field and run records and identification checks through multiple secure law enforcement systems.
