Unused Medication Drop Box
Township residents are invited to bring unused or unneeded pills to the Shelby Township Police Department for safe, convenient and responsible disposal. Remove the medication from its original bottle and place it in a zip-seal bag before bringing it to our front desk. One of our cadets will place it in the secure drop box inside the station. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Accepted:
Pills including medication, vitamins, samples and pet medication
Not Accepted:
Liquids, ointments, prescription patches, needles (sharps), medication from businesses or clinics, hydrogen peroxide, inhalers, aerosol cans, lotions, non-prescription ointments or thermometers

Please note, unused medication can also be disposed of at the township's Household Hazardous Waste Day collections.
