Youth Bureau

The Shelby Township Police Department Youth Bureau consists of a Youth Bureau Detective who is primarily responsible for investigating crimes involving children, two School Resource Officers who are assigned to each of our high schools and a Teaching, Educating and Mentoring School Liaison Program (TEAMS) Officer who facilitates the TEAMS program that teaches, educates and mentors sixth graders in our eleven elementary schools. During the summer, when school is not in session, our School Resource Officers and TEAMS Officer are assigned full time to the Community Services Unit.
