Rape Aggression Defense Program (RAD)

The RAD System of Self-Defense takes a holistic approach to self-defense education and supports continuous learning to provide realistic options for participants throughout their lives. The program spans four three-hour days and includes educational components such as lecture, discussion and physical resistive strategies. Due to the nature of this training, the program is available only to female residents.

The Shelby Township Police Department has five fully certified RAD instructors. Please watch this page for information and upcoming dates when we are able to safely offer the program to our community again.
